  • Malmesbury Energy Club - 30th November

    The Centre for Sustainable Energy and Malmesbury Primary School will be holding an Energy Club at 3.30pm in the main hall on Thursday 30th November.

     

    Come along to to get some free energy advice to help save you money on your energy bills and access to further support.

     

    What is an Energy Café?

    An Energy Café is a community event where people can come get free energy advice in a welcoming setting. People who attend energy cafes will receive tailored advice, information and support on a range of issues including: tips on how to reduce your energy use to save money, how to deal with fuel debt, how to make your home more energy efficient, accessing further support and grants.

    What will be involved?

    • A chance to get some free bespoke energy advice
    • A chance to enter a free raffle and win a prize
    • Refreshments will be provided

    This event is part of the Energy Matters project which is funded by the London Borough of Merton Council and delivered in partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Energy.

  • Christmas in Wimbledon Village - Sunday 3rd December

    Join the forthcoming festive community event Christmas in the Village on Sunday 3rd December from 10am to 5pm!

     

    Organised by the Wimbledon Village Business Association in aid of local charity Wimbledon Guild, Christmas in the Village is jam packed with activities for the whole family.

     

    Santa will be greeting and treating children in his Grotto throughout the day and at lunchtime he will take to his trusty steed for a horseback parade down the High Street, complete with Elves and bells!

     

    The kids can also enjoy fairground rides, face-painting, a petting farm, meet the Wimbledon Fire Brigade and attend *balloon twister *story time, *dance, *clay-modelling and *music sessions.

     

    The Christmas market will be offering a great selection of festive food, drinks and gifts and you can soak up the Christmas vibe throughout the day with music from a host of choirs and bands.

     

    To wrap up the event, we’ll be inviting everyone to join us for sing-along carols mince pies and mulled wine at the Christmas Tree lights switch-on.

  • Morden Christmas Lights - 4pm on 24th November

    Come and join in the festive family fun in Morden, outside Merton's Civic Centre, for the borough's Christmas lights switch-on event.

    The illumination of the Christmas tree and lights will be at 5.15pm.

    There will be lots of festive fun throughout the evening, including:

    Sing-along performances from local school choirs
    Photos with Father Christmas
    Face- painting
    Magic performances
    Arts and crafts
    Free mince pies, popcorn and candy floss!
     

  • Home-Start Merton Coffee Morning - 8th November

    Home-Start Merton are looking for volunteers who have lived experience of being a parent or grandparent that would be able to make a difference to families in the community. Volunteering offers you the opportunity to increase your skills and build confidence. It is an opportunity to make a difference and helps to improve the lives for children.
