Breakfast Club Information...

The school runs a Breakfast Club every morning in the school hall. As you know there will be a charge of £2.00 per child per day, this can be paid weekly (£10.00 per child) on a Monday morning, or on a daily basis. Payment should be paid on entry to Breakfast Club. If you wish your child to attend breakfast club but not to eat a breakfast the charge is £1.00 per day.  You can pay by cash or cheque, made payable to Malmesbury Primary School.  Numbers are limited to 60 per day and due to the popularity of the club if you have not already been allocated a place you need to contact the School Office to check availability or to go on the waiting list.

The doors open at 8.00am and close at 8.30am.

The menu is in line with our Healthy School Status and will consist of the following:

  • A choice of cereals – Weetabix, Shreddies or Cornflakes served with semi-skimmed milk (no added sugar)
  • A choice of fruit juice – apple or orange
  • Toast or bread  wholemeal with low-fat spread
  • A choice of jam, honey or Marmite

We intend to vary the menu half-termly and will inform you of any changes later. Please complete the slip below so that we are aware of any food allergies.

Breakfast will be available from 8.00 to 8.25 and after the children have eaten there will be a range of activities for them to choose from - games, drawing, jigsaws, construction materials eg Lego etc. There will also be the opportunity for them to complete homework or read with an adult if they would like to. The activities will vary each day and we will talk with the children about what they would like to do. KS2 children will be sent into the playground in time to line up with their classes, children in Foundation Stage and KS1 will be taken to their teachers at the correct time.

Entry to Breakfast Club will be directly from the playground into the hall, please explain to your child that you will be unable to stay with them! Once the children have arrived in the hall they must stay there until it is time for them to line up or be taken to class.

Please find below a copy of the form attached that you need to complete and hand in on your child's first visit to the club to inform us about any allergies etc.
