We love swimming at Malmesbury!

Learning to swim is an essential life skill and a fantastic way to stay active and healthy.

Currently, children in Years 5 and 6 have their swimming lessons at Morden Leisure Centre, our local pool. Our aim is for all children to be able to swim at least 25 metres — the distance set by the government — by the end of Year 6.

Each child takes part in a block of intensive swimming lessons, with hour-long sessions held daily over one or two weeks.

The school covers the full cost of these swimming lessons, and any additional top-up sessions are funded through our Sports Premium budget.
