Year 5 - School Closure Learning

We have prepared learning packs for all children during the school closure; these activities will support your child for the rest of this term. These will be sent home with children before school closes or delivered as soon as possible.

The website will be updated with specific activities that will support your child’s learning. Some of the activities may require you to use the learning links here.  All the login details that you need will be included in your pack.

Revision of topics is key to remembering learning, so please do refer back to the previous home learning sheets we have sent out this year as well.  After the Easter holidays, we will continue to update the pages so please do check back regularly. The home-school journals also have useful activities.  Regular reading will be of huge benefit at this time.

It will be important that your child’s day is balanced.  Depending on your child’s age, they will not be expected to concentrate on one task for more than half an hour.  We therefore recommend regular breaks from activities and a balance of screen-based and non-screen-based activities.  It is important to keep a sense of routine and we have outlined a possible timetable to support you with this.

Should you have any questions, please note that you can still phone the school office, or email at school@malmesbury.merton.sch.uk.  We look forward to seeing what the children have been learning when they return to school, particularly in their exercise book.
