Welcome to Year 1 - Elm and Willow

Drinking water:  Please send in a bottle of water, clearly marked with your child's name, each day.

 

Lost Property:  If you child looses any items of clothing, please check the 'Lost Property' boxes outside the School Library.

 

PE:    Please ensure your child's PE kit is clearly labelled and left in school.  The kits will be sent home at the end of each half term.

 

Reading:  Children receive a school reading book which is changed regularly.  The children visit school library each week, and the library is open after school if you would also like to visit with your child. We also encourage children to read their books on their Bug Club account.  Details of log in information can be found in the Home School Diaries. Please sign the Home School Diary when you read with your child. 

 

Times:  School begins at 8.50am and ends at 3.10pm - please help us to help your child settle into their day of learning by ensuring they are on time.

 

Homework:  Each half term we send home a sheet with ideas and activities for you to work on with your child.  Work can be sent into school and is displayed and shared with the other children.

 

Contact:  If you need to speak urgently to any of the Year 1 teachers, a brief message can be given in the morning or at the end of the day.  If you need more time, please let the office know and make an appointment.
