Malmesbury Primary School Brings Out The Best In Everyone

The Library

Our School Library

The school library is a wonderful resource to help you with your learning.  We have recently bought a number of new non-fiction books to link with class topics and have a wide range of fiction books to suit every type of reader.  The library is open every lunchtime, 12.05pm-12.30pm, and after school, Monday to Thursday, until 3.45pm.  This means you have lots of opportunities to change your library books, especially now that we are sending out overdue reminders.  If you would like to keep a book for longer than two weeks, it is easy to renew it.  Our friendly librarians are always willing to help!

Check out the display of books as you enter the library for ideas about what to read.  The current display is a collection of books linked to the First and Second World Wars, particularly poignant in the lead-up to the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.

Dressing up to celebrate National Libraries Week!

A group of Year 6 children went to Heath's Educational Books for some important book shopping with Mrs Bonner. They were choosing books for the special collection!

Merton Libraries and Schools Reading Initiative

We are proud of our links with Morden Library.  All of our children have been enrolled in the Merton Libraries' Reading Initiative which means they have received a Schools Premium Library card.  All classes regularly visit Morden Library to borrow a book.

If you need to renew your Merton library book, you can do so online.  Please click here.

Well done to all of the children who completed the Summer Reading Challenge.  We celebrated their achievement in a whole school assembly and it was wonderful to see so many children wearing their medals with pride!
