German Club MFL News Spanish Club

French is taught throughout the school from Reception through to Year 6, with children being given the opportunity to participate in national and borough language competitions. As well as French, in Key Stage 2 children can join Spanish and German Clubs. To find out more about languages at Malmesbury, click on one of the links above. Year 6 learnt how to conjugate verbs in French. If you'd like to hear how, click this link; Sohaib, Amirthan Alfie and Georgie wrote some lyrics to a tune you might know explaining how to do it.

In Year 4 we made mini-books about the weather. Here are a few of them.

We've also been learning about adjectives and writing animal descriptions.

In Year 6 we used bi-lingual dictionaries to help us to adapt the Eric Carle story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The story has been translated into over 80 languages. In French it is called La Chenille Qui Fait des Trous, or The Caterpillar Who Makes Holes. Listen to Subanthana reading her story about a very hungry kitten.
